The Maritime Cluster of the Canary Islands is promoting the Canary Islands Suppliers brand through its own exhibitor at Nor-Shipping 2019, the international shipping fair, within the framework of the actions foreseen in the INTERREG-MAC 2014-2020: SMART BLUE and INTERPORT projects.

This promotion has been made possible by the support of the “Cabildo de Gran Canaria” Society for the Promotion of Gran Canaria, with the aim of promoting Gran Canaria, and by the expansion of the Canary Islands, in the logistic centre of the Middle Atlantic, through the internationalisation brands CANARY ISLANDS SUPPLIERS: (www.canaryislandssuppliers.com) and BEST IN GRAN CANARIA (http://bestingrancanaria.com/en/).

The fair which took place from 4th to the 7th of June in Oslo, Norway http://nor-shipping.com/ was a great opportunity to present yourself internationally at the main maritime, oil and gas exhibition in Europe.

Nor- Shipping is one of the most  important meeting points, where every two years the directors and specialists of the maritime and oceanic industry from all over the world meet, collaborate and make agreements to promote new business opportunities in this sector.

In cooperation with the representatives of the Canary Islands Maritime Cluster to promote the Canary Island Suppliers (CIS), the following Canary Islands companies visited the fair: Zamakona Yards, Gran Canaria Subsea Base, Turnaval, grupo Stier and Radiopesca.

Representatives of the various institutions, such as the Deputy Minister of Industry of the Goverment of the Canary Islands, the technicians of the proexca foreign production company or the technicians of the special zone of the Canary Islands were also present.

During the fair more tan 1000 meetings were placed between the members of the delegation of the Canary Islands and those companies and institutions that visited and exhibited the fair.
