The Maritime Cluster of the Canary Islands takes part in the INTERREG-MAC 2014-2020 projects: SMART BLUE and NAUTICON and, as part of the Canary Islands Suppliers internationalisation brand action plan, will take part in EXPOFUTURO, the Employment, Training, Diversity and Entrepreneurship Fair, which took place on Thursday 6 and Friday 7 June in Santa Catalina Park in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

Within more than 5000 participants is the EXPOFUTURO a meeting place between the companies and all those who want to improve their profesional future. It was a space for the promotion and exhibition of companies and economic sectors, as well as for the realisation of contacts, the selection of personnel, the orientation in terms of labour law or design, networking, entrepreneurship and the integration and diversity of work.

This presence has made it possible for the Maritime Cluster of the Canary Islands, the large number of people who have approached its exhibitors to demonstrate the great variety of professional opportunities offered by the various sub-sectors of the blue economy, in particular the sub-sector of the repair and auxiliary industry.

In additon to the maritime cluster of the Canary Islands was the EXPOFUTURO organised by Inserta Foundation, the generaldirection of Economic development of the Canary Islands Government, JTI, Las Palmas Univerity Foundation (FULP), DISA, Binter Canarias, ICSE, Grupo M&M, Fundación Ecca, Fundación Laboral de la Construcción, Activas Canarias, Hoteles THE, Clece, Cenpol, Lidl Canarias, Motor Arisa- Renault, Clínical dental IOC, Satocan, Galaco Canarias, Spar, Grupo Emplea, Garrigues, Philip Morris and Femepa.
